Cards.Fast Cards.Fast

Terms of Use

Version 1.1. Last revised October 4, 2026.

Adapted from the General Legal Terms of Use template (CC0). This is not legal advice.

The websites at app.cards.fast and www.cards.fast (together, the "Service") are operated by Eric Kuhn, doing business as Cards.Fast ("Cards.Fast," "we," "us," or "our"). There is no separate company entity.

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Service. By creating an account, clicking agree, or using the Service, you accept these Terms. You must be at least 13. If you are under 18, you may use the Service only with a parent’s or guardian’s permission, and that parent or guardian agrees to these Terms for you. We do not allow anyone under 13 to create an account. A parent or guardian may let a child under 13 study on the parent’s or guardian’s own account, under their supervision. The parent or guardian is the account holder and is responsible for that use. The child does not get their own account or Family seat. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Please read Section 12 carefully. It is an agreement to resolve most disputes through binding individual arbitration, not in court, and it includes a class-action waiver and a jury-trial waiver. You have 30 days to opt out, as described there.

1. The Service

Cards.Fast is a hosted spaced-repetition app. An account is required.

Free is one deck and one hundred cards. A second deck, or card one hundred and one, is paid. Individual is $5 a month or $36 a year. Family is $10 a month or $60 a year: one subscription, four seats, invited by email from Settings. There is no trial.

The study app is app.cards.fast. The public site is www.cards.fast.

We may change, suspend, or stop any part of the Service. We do not promise support.

2. Accounts

You must register with accurate information and keep it current.

You are responsible for your login credentials, your personal token, and all activity under your account. If you think someone else has used your account, tell us. We are not liable for losses from credentials you failed to keep secret.

A personal token from Settings, or an OAuth sign-in from ChatGPT, Claude, or Grok, lets an agent write to your account through hosted MCP at https://app.cards.fast/mcp. The personal token is shown once, lasts 90 days, and regenerating or revoking it stops cards login. Treat tokens like a password. You are responsible for any agent you connect.

You may delete your account by following the instructions in the Service, if they exist, or by contacting us.

We may suspend or terminate your account as described in Section 9.

3. Paid access and billing

Paid access is purchased through Stripe. We do not store your full card number.

You pay $5 a month or $36 a year for Individual, or $10 a month or $60 a year for Family, depending on what you chose at checkout. A Family member keeps their own cards and returns to the free limit if they leave or the family lapses. All mail, including receipts, comes from notifications@email.cards.fast.

To cancel, open Settings → Manage billing. That is the Stripe customer portal. Canceling stops future charges. It does not by itself delete your account or your cards.

If a payment fails, we may limit paid features until it is fixed.

4. Your content

Cards, decks, and other material you or your connected agents put in the Service ("Your Content") are yours. You grant us a limited license to host, store, display, and process Your Content only as needed to run the Service for you, including backups and export.

We do not claim ownership of Your Content.

You are responsible for Your Content, including cards an agent writes, you import, or a friend shares into Inbox. Review Inbox before you accept cards into study.

You may send a copy of a deck you own. They choose to import. Cards land in their Inbox. Theirs, not live sync. Your deck stays yours.

You may export Your Content using the export tools we provide. We do not promise that export will include every kind of data forever.

Do not submit content that you do not have the right to use, or that is unlawful.

If you send us feedback, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use it without credit. Do not send feedback you consider secret.

5. License and restrictions

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own personal use.

You may not: (i) sell, rent, or commercially exploit the Service; (ii) reverse-engineer the Service except where the law allows; (iii) access the Service to build a competing product; (iv) abuse, overload, or disrupt the Service; (v) scrape the Service in a way that harms it; or (vi) use the Service to break the law.

Cards.Fast and its marks stay ours. These Terms do not transfer ownership.

6. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms. If these Terms and the Privacy Policy conflict on how we handle personal information, the Privacy Policy controls.

7. Third-party services and agents

The Service uses third parties, including Stripe for payments and providers for hosting and email. Their terms apply to what they do.

You may connect third-party agents (for example Grok, Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or Claude Code) using a sign-in or your token. Those products are not ours. We do not control what they do with your token or your prompts. You use them at your own risk.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE. WHERE THE LAW REQUIRES WARRANTIES, THEY LAST 90 DAYS FROM YOUR FIRST USE.

Spaced-repetition results vary. We do not promise you will remember anything.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW: (A) WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, SUBSTITUTE SERVICES, OR ANY INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES; AND (B) OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS CAPPED AT THE GREATER OF $50 USD AND THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE SIX MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM. MULTIPLE CLAIMS DO NOT RAISE THE CAP.

10. Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify Eric Kuhn and Cards.Fast from claims and reasonable legal fees arising from your use of the Service, Your Content, an agent you connected, or your breach of these Terms or the law. We may take over the defense. You will not settle a claim against us without our written consent.

11. Term and termination

These Terms last while you use the Service. We may suspend or end your access, including deleting an account, if we believe you have broken these Terms or abused the Service. We are not liable to you for that.

Sections 4 through 13 survive termination.

12. Dispute resolution

Please read this section carefully. It affects your legal rights, including your right to sue in court and your right to a jury trial.

Except as described below, you and Cards.Fast agree to resolve all disputes arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms through binding individual arbitration, not in court. Exceptions: (i) individual small-claims cases; and (ii) requests for equitable relief about intellectual property. This applies to claims that arose before you agreed to these Terms.

Before arbitration, send a short written notice to support@cards.fast. Within 45 days we will try to talk it through by email or a call. If that does not resolve it within 60 days, either side may start arbitration.

Arbitration will be administered by JAMS (jamsadr.com). Claims under $250,000 (excluding fees and interest) use JAMS Streamlined Rules; larger claims use JAMS Comprehensive Rules. Unless we agree otherwise, the hearing is in the county where you live. The Federal Arbitration Act applies.

BY AGREEING TO ARBITRATION, YOU AND CARDS.FAST WAIVE A JUDGE OR JURY TRIAL FOR COVERED CLAIMS.

ALL DISPUTES MUST BE INDIVIDUAL. Neither side may bring a class, representative, or collective action. If a court finds this class waiver unenforceable as to a claim, that claim may be heard in court in New York; other claims stay in arbitration.

Each side bears its own attorneys' fees unless the arbitrator finds a claim was frivolous.

You may opt out of this arbitration section within 30 days of first accepting these Terms by emailing support@cards.fast with your name, the email on your account, and a clear statement that you opt out. Opting out does not change the rest of these Terms.

If any part of this section is invalid, it will be narrowed to the minimum needed. The rest stays.

13. General

We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will try to email the address on your account or post a notice on the Service. Using the Service after that is acceptance.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. For any dispute not in arbitration, the state and federal courts in New York have exclusive jurisdiction, except that either side may seek injunctive relief for intellectual property in any competent court, and either side may use small-claims court for qualifying claims.

You consent to electronic notices (email or posts on the Service).

These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement about the Service. If a provision is invalid, it is modified just enough to work. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms; we may. "Including" means "including without limitation."
